The bondage movement is an interesting plugin but generally I would prefer to have players simply hold the button to move when tied up. Generally, you would only want to prevent escaping for battles you'd wouldn't want players to escape from (for example, if the player confronts a boss or confronts enemies through a cutscene) but you should allow escaping if the player confronts a monster, soldier, bandit, or other enemy that isn't story/plot related. Not sure if it's a mistake on the Battle Events. On the Temple and Tower, you can't Escape from enemies. Otherwise, players may just waste items or MP trying to kill an enemy they aren't meant to kill.Īlso be careful on having battles in towns or other safe places as it could catch players off guard if they weren't expecting battles. For example, if I had my character, Rebecca, fight a battle she's supposed to lose, I would just have it as a cutscene.

Instead of impossible fixed battles or bosses, you could opt for a cutscene instead. Ideally you would want to have simple enemies players could kill while they in turn do little damage just to give players a taste of what the game's battles will be like. If your players have problems killing them, they may assume they're too weak and may have to return later. I'd be careful for having very strong or difficult enemies at the start which is something I noticed with Angels and Rouges (I think you're meant to fight the Angels after getting the party members).
